Kent State baseball team plays a style that will serve them well at College World Series, says Elton Alexander (SBTV)

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Welcome to today's edition of Starting Blocks TV, hosted by Chuck Yarborough and Branson Wright.

The Kent State baseball team is headed to the College World Series this weekend in Omaha, Neb. How far do you think the Golden Flashes can go in the tournament? That's our question in today's Starting Blocks poll.

Today's guest on SBTV is Plain Dealer reporter Elton Alexander, who has covered the Flashes throughout the NCAA tournament and will be at the CWS. He says that KSU is built to compete with the big-time traditional programs this weekend.

Elton also talks about why Midwestern teams have a hard time making it to Omaha; and why KSU catcher David Lyon has been such a valuable player this season.

SBTV will return Friday with Plain Dealer Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot answering fan questions from her weekly Hey, Mary Kay! feature.
